Elon Musk revealed during an xAI all-hands presentation that X Money, the payment service developed for platform X, will enter a limited external beta within the next two months. The service has been operational in a closed beta among company staff, marking the first phase of its rollout.

Musk positioned X Money as the future financial hub for the platform, calling it "the central source of all monetary transactions" on X. The announcement follows earlier tests in 2025 when X experimented with wallet functionality and peer-to-peer payments through a partnership with Visa.

The upcoming beta represents a cautious expansion strategy, with Musk emphasizing the limited scope of this initial public release before a planned global rollout to all X users. No firm timeline was provided for full public availability.
